Filtrare Coffee Maker FAQ's

How does the Filtrare coffee maker work?

Place a paper filter inside, add freshly ground coffee, then slowly pour hot water over the grounds. The coffee passes through the filter and flows directly into your carafe. When finished, remove paper filter and pour directly into your mug. Follow along at our how to guide.

What filters should I use?

We recommend the Filtrare Filters. They’re square, pre-folded, and available in packs of 30, with one-time purchase and subscription options.

Filtrare brewers also work with a variety of alternatives, including reusable filters and appropriately sized Chemex and Hario paper filters. As a general guide, a filter marked as compatible with Chemex should work well.

How do I clean it?

Rinse thoroughly with warm water after each use. For deeper cleaning, use a mild dish soap and a soft sponge. A round bottle brush, similar to those used for baby bottles, works well for cleaning the inside of the coffee maker.

Is it suitable for someone new to pour-over coffee?

Absolutely. The pour-over method is simple to learn and easy to make your own.
